How age changes a real score

|---|---|
| 25–29 | 469 |

Timing tips
- Your age locks on the day you get your ITA, not when you submit your application.
- If a birthday is close, create or update your profile early and finish your language test and ECA first.
- Your profile recalculates automatically on your birthday, so check your score the next day.
- After 40, points drop by 11 a year, so prioritise fast wins: a language retest, French or a provincial nomination.
Over 40? You can still be invited
Older candidates can make up for lost age points with high language scores, Canadian experience, a provincial nomination (+600), French, or by qualifying for category-based draws. See 12 ways to increase your CRS score.
