When is the next Express Entry draw?

IRCC doesn't announce draw dates in advance, so nobody can tell you the exact date of the next draw. The pattern of past draws is the best guide:

November 3, 2026: new CRS points for high-wage occupations take effect. IRCC says it will pause draws for up to two weeks while it recalculates every profile, so expect a gap in early November. What changes →

When is the next CEC, French, FSW or healthcare draw?

Each draw type has its own rhythm. The table below shows when each type last happened and how many times in the last 12 months. A type with many recent draws, such as PNP, CEC or French, is likely to come again soon. FSW-only and general draws have been rare since 2024.

Types of Express Entry draws

In each draw (round of invitations), IRCC sends an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence to the highest-ranked candidates in the pool, down to a minimum CRS score, the cut-off. There are three kinds of draws:

PNP cut-offs include the 600 points from a provincial nomination. What's a good CRS score for each draw type?

How Express Entry draws work

  1. You create an Express Entry profile and get a CRS score. Estimate yours.
  2. IRCC picks a draw type and a number of invitations, then invites the highest-scoring eligible candidates until it reaches that number. The score of the last person invited becomes the cut-off.
  3. Tie-breaking rule: if several people have the cut-off score, those who submitted their profile first are invited, up to a date and time IRCC publishes with the draw.
  4. Invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence.

What time are Express Entry draws announced?

IRCC doesn't publish a fixed time. Invitations usually reach candidates' online accounts during the working day, and the results (date, type, number of invitations, cut-off and tie-breaking time) appear on IRCC's rounds of invitations page later the same day or the next day. This page updates as soon as IRCC publishes them.

Why is there no Express Entry draw today or this week?

Where to check official Express Entry draw results

The official source is IRCC's rounds of invitations page. If you're in the pool, your invitation appears in your IRCC secure account, not by email. This page copies IRCC's data automatically and adds charts, filters and the cut-off for every draw type.
