Terms of Use
By using crstool.com ("CRSTool", "we", "us") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. The service
CRSTool provides free, unofficial tools and information about Canada's Express Entry system, including a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) calculator. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time without notice.
2. Information only, not advice
Everything on CRSTool is general information. It is not legal or immigration advice, and results are estimates. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful or misleading, including presenting our results as an official IRCC score;
- copy, scrape or republish our tools or content in bulk, or use automated systems that put an unreasonable load on the site;
- try to break, probe or bypass the site's security;
- frame the site, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse you.
4. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, code, illustrations and the CRSTool name belong to Sang unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page, and quote short extracts with a link back to the source page. IRCC data and Government of Canada material remain subject to their own terms.
5. Sharing and embedding
You may share links to CRSTool freely. If we offer an embeddable calculator widget, you may use it on your own site as long as you keep the credit link visible.
6. Third-party links and ads
The site links to other websites and may show third-party ads. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or services.
7. No warranty
CRSTool is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, that the site will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of opportunity, data or profit, arising from your use of or reliance on CRSTool, including any immigration decision, application, fee or missed deadline. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Indemnity
If you misuse the site or break these Terms, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs this causes us.
10. Privacy
How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
